ABOUT OUR BESPOKE SERVICE
B E S P O K E
A word synonymous with customized attention to detail, and exactly what you will receive with this service. Your design or ours, all bespoke projects include a customized proposal with digital renderings and design specifications.
Our direct relationship with dyers and weavers gives us the unique opportunity to customize a rug from start to finish. It begins with the finest wool available which is prepped, dyed, and woven by hand using traditional techniques that have been fine tuned for centuries. We are proud to work with a team of men and women whose craftsmanship is second to none.
Our priority of fair wages, benefits, and safe working conditions is the foundation of our artisan partnerships. Our ateliers are located in a rural Middle Atlas village, where we employ local Amazigh artisans from the start to finish of every rug. Each order contributes to the sustainment of this generational craft, and the cultural tradition it was born from.
ABOUT THE BRAND
JUNE + BLUE
While living in Casablanca, my favorite escape from the face-paced city was to find little neighborhood souks to wonder around and look for treasures. My curiosity and love of design turned into a true passion for Moroccan culture, and the stories told through these textiles. In 2017 I began curating my first collection, focusing on high quality pieces that hold value and unique history, while also adding charm to their new homes. I believe a good rug can elevate a space in a way nothing else can, and consider this in curating each collection
ABOUT OUR VINTAGE TEXTILES
June + Blue
I travel all over Morocco to source one-of-a-kind beauties that you just won’t find in a souk. With a market that is flooded with reproductions, I am passionate about finding authentic, interesting pieces that will not only hold their value, but last a lifetime. Amazigh weaving techniques have been passed down through generations, with symbols that combine deeply rooted traditions and the personal expression of the woman who made it. Each rug holds a small yet profound piece of Moroccan history that will only appreciate with time.
