This beautiful Talsint is gently worn and faded to perfection. The body of the rug is in excellent vintage condition while showing signs of its previous life with areas more faded than others. The background is in varying tones of faded lavender, with a linear branch pattern in faded grays and taupes. There is a thin cream outline around the pattern which highlights the contrast between the grays and purples.
Vintage Berber rugs were not made for production, but as functional pieces to be used for many years and passed down through generations. The colors and patterns are a combination of traditional Berber symbolism and the personal expressions of the woman who made it. These pieces can show signs of wear which adds to their beauty and character, while telling a story about where they were before June + Blue.
All rugs are cleaned, and any repairs needed are done in Morocco before shipment.
